Supplicant

• The endpoint is essentially the supplicant. However, technically, the supplicant is software that runs on the endpoint.

Authenticator

• The authenticator is the device the Supplicant is attached to. 

• Wired Network Authenticator: Switch.

• Wireless Network Authenticator: WLC

Authentication Server

• The Authentication Server in our case is the ISE Server.
